The aims of NAUSS are as follows:

 -       To provide opportunities for specialist postgraduate studies in security and justice related fields producing expert Arab academics able to effectively face new and changing security challenges.

-       To introduce and promote the specialist subject of Islamic Criminal Legislation and its comprehensive principles, systems and applications.

-       To provide enhanced levels of training to Arab security personnel and to prepare them to be expert trainers possessing the most up-to-date knowledge in their respective fields.

-       To enrich and develop specialist academic research in fighting and preventing crime.

-       To strengthen relations between NAUSS and specialist Arab and international institutions related to security studies and the justice sector – as well as social institutions.
