The College of Forensic Sciences (CFS) constitutes one of the most important academic institutions of NAUSS dedicated for the advancement of academic knowledge and professional skills in various disciplines of forensic sciences and criminal investigation. Serving the Forensic Science Institutions and crime investigation laboratories since 1988, CFS has made tremendous contribution towards improving the quality of forensic investigations in the Arab world. Its well equipped laboratories, faculty of high academic and professional competency, modern educational facilities and innovative teaching approach have attracted hundreds of students from all over the Arab world seeking education and training in almost every discipline of forensic science. Starting its career as a Department of Forensic Science Laboratories (College of Training - NAUSS), this institution underwent an intensive process of academic and professional development, finally earning the accreditation of a full fledged college in the year 2003. The college has attained international recognition for its highest standards in both education and professional training. The CFS is accredited by the United Nations as a regional certified laboratory (RCL) for the analysis of narcotics and drugs of abuse. Moreover, CFS has also developed strong academic and professional relations with many regional and international institutions involved in the education and training of security sciences.
The CFS offers a variety of basic and advanced academic and professional training courses, and undergraduate/postgraduate Professional Diplomas in various fields of forensic sciences thereby fulfilling the educational and professional training needs of 22 Arab countries. At present, CFS has become a prestigious and unique center of regional and international repute for quality education, advanced professional training and applied research in multifarious disciplines of forensic sciences and criminal investigation.
