Studies and Research Center (SRC) is entrusted with the following tasks of salience:
1. It prepares action programs related to its area studies, translations, conventions, symposia, lectures and publications.
2. It implements the Annual Action Program of the University.
3. It directs, manages and follows-up the implementation of activities related to its various units.
4. It follows – up the completion of the academic programs of the University in coordination with other pertinent departments.
5. It implements and follows-up academic activities which are in progress.
6. It exchanges experiences and experts with pertinent academic centers operative in Arab and non-Arab countries.
7. It reviews the suggestions of the units associated with it for the development of its tasks.
8. It studies projects to assess the relative value of its units and eventually lays down final projects on its assessment.
9. It represents SRC in meetings and conventions of the University.
10. It prepares agendas for the "Committee of the Experts".
11. It recommends the payment of financial compensations stipulated under the pertinent University by-laws.
12. It evaluates the action program of the various units associated with it.
