The Council of Arab Interior Ministers
The Council of Arab Interior Ministers was established in 1982 with the agreement of the Arab League.
The council convenes annually to discuss topics vital to Arab states.
The council contains a number of subsidiary organizations and institutions cooperating to achieve its goals such as the following:
Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS)
NAUSS is the only academic institution directly serving the Council of Arab Interior Ministers. Programs at NAUSS are offered in accordance with the directions and advice of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers to meet the pressing security challenges faced by Arab states as well as internationally.
General Secretariat
The General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers is the main body responsible for the management and implementation of the activities and decisions made by the council. Its permanent location is Tunisia and it is headed by a general secretary chosen by the council from amongst nominees from various Arab states.
The position is currently held by Dr .Mohammed Ibn Ali Kawman.
There are five specialist offices involved in the work of the General Secretariat.

2- The Arab Office for Crime Prevention
3- The Arab Criminal Police Office
4- The Arab Office for Security Media
5- The Arab Office on Drugs Affairs
