This academic year has seen the successful implementation of various new courses in the College of Forensic Sciences at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS).
These include specialist vocational courses, including a one-year vocational diploma in forensic science. Many students have taken the opportunity to benefit from this diploma – especially those students from the department of forensic chemistry at NAUSS specializing in the examination of poisons and drugs.
The college is also holding a two-year higher diploma in forensic science for university graduates.
Last academic year, the college started its MSc program in forensic chemistry specializing in toxins and drugs – as well as the MSc program in forensic biology specializing in fingerprinting. A total of 18 students took part last year and this year the number has risen to 30 students – including female students.
The total number of students in the college this year has risen to 59.
The college also provides a higher diploma examining technologies in criminal investigation for members of the public prosecution service as well as members of the judiciary and crime scene investigators from all over the Arab world.
