    The Security Studies and Research Center at NAUSS has published edition No.51 of its bi-annual academic journal The Arab Journal of Security Studies and Training. This journal contains recent researches into different areas of security and is made available by subscription and on line at the NAUSS information portal.

This latest edition comprises the following eight papers:

1.     Correct Islamic Belief and its Role in the Preservation of Security (Dr. Khalid ibn Nasir Al-Ghamdi).

2.     The Concept of Psychological Punishments in Islamic Shariya and Their Applications in Discretionary forms of Punishment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Dr. Abdullah ibn Sulayman Al-‘Ajlan).

3.     An Analytical Survey of Domestic Violence in Al-Madinah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Colonel Dr. Naif ibn Mohammed Al-Marwani)

4.     The Psychological Effects of Unemployment – An Analytical Field Study (Dr. Mohammed ibn Abdullah Al-Bakr)

5.     Professional Affiliation amongst Members of the Security Forces in Palestine (Prof. Nuruddin Abdul Aziz and Dr. Suhair Sulayman Al-Sabah).

6.     Building an International Database in Combating Terrorism (Major General Dr. Hasan ibn Ahmed Al-Shahri).

7.     Adherence to Training and its Effect on Staff Performance (Prof. Tahsin Ahmed Al-Tarawana)

8.     The Distance Learning Training Center in the Institute of Public Administration (Dr. Emad ibn Adbul Aziz Al-Hammadi)

The papers in this addition also contain abstracts in English.

    This edition also contains an overview of the book The Arab League and Solutions to Arab Conflicts written and compiled by Dr. Ghalib ibn Ghallab Al-Utaibi in addition to a report on a symposium held by NAUSS (10-12/05/2010) entitled Practical and Academic Solutions in Solving Overcrowding in Cities.

    The Arab Journal of Security Studies and Training is personally overseen by the president of NAUSS, Professor Abdul Aziz ibn Sagr Al-Ghamdi, and its chief editor is Prof. Abdul Aati Ahmed Al-Sayyad, Dean of the Security Studies and Research Center at NAUSS.
