University President Comments:
Combating drugs abuse is the responsibility of all social institutions.
In the gracious presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz Sagr al-Ghamdi, President, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, the dynamics of an academic seminar concludes on Wednesday, 25/10/1430. The seminar –––– Controlled Delivery for Drugs –––– was organized by the Training College (TC) during the period: 21 – 25/10/1430 A.H. This corresponds to 10 – 14/10/2009 A.D. at University premises in Riyadh. This course was benefited by 75 specialists. The latter represented personnel associated with various departments –––– Department of Drugs Control; Security Agencies at Frontiers, Sea-Ports and Airports; Customs Personnel at Official Entry-Exit Points; Personnel Associated with Public Prosecution; Agencies on Combating Organized Crime and Corruption; Security Research Centers; other pertinent security organs.
Participants represented following countries –––– Jordan, Emirates, Bahrain, Algeria, Saudia, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, Qatar, Lebanon and Egypt.
The conclusive ceremony commenced with recitation of Quranic verses. It was followed with modest presentation made by Maj. Gen. Dr. Ali bin Faiz Al-Jahni, Dean, Training College. In this presentation he illuminated the audiences with an overview on the curricula operative at Training College (TC). This curricula, he asserted, is oriented essentially to build the competence of Arab security personnel.
Dr. Jahni’s presentation was followed with the presentation of Academic Supervisor, Dr. Abdullah bin Marzuq Al-Otaibi. The latter provided a summation on the objectives and the academic program of the seminar.
Final presentation was made by a guest participant –––– Ali Rahim Taib. He represented Iraq. He offered his heart-felt gratitude to the Naif Arab University for conducting this seminar and providing him opportunity to benefit. He expressed his elation to gain cognizance on the recent innovations in the broad area of drugs inspection.
