The Director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service visited NAUSS

 

    Richard B. Fadden, the Director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) visited NAUSS and was received by the university president, Professor Abdulaziz Bin Sagr Al-Ghamdi, in addition to the vice president Dr. Jamaan Bin Ragosh and the heads of each academic department.

    This visit was part of the constant efforts of NAUSS to create and maintain the most effective regional and international relations with vital security sectors, institutions and personnel.

    Such relations lead to effective cooperation in fighting crime, solving important security issues and exchanging valuable experience.

    Mr. Fadden was given a detailed overview of the university and its commitment to security and its efforts in this field. He affirmed the vital role NAUSS has in aiding security and security studies and the strong and vital relations the university has with Canada in this field.

    He expressed the importance of future cooperation between NAUSS and academic institutions in Canada – stressing that the strongest means of improving security is to advance academic study and research in this area.

    Mr. Fadden also affirmed the good and productive relationship between Canada and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and highlighted that there are over ten thousand Saudi students studying in Canadian academic institutions.

    He also expressed his great respect for the professionalism and effectiveness of Saudi Arabian security personnel in fighting crime – and specifically their important and successful role in fighting and preventing terrorism.
