The Evolution of Information Center (IC). The establishment of the first NAUSS computer department dates back to 1983. At those early days one computer was under use. Operations were restricted to registering research and studies results, and to deal with crime combat programs. Subsequently, the department assumed the status of ful-fledged independent center directly affiliated to the University Presidency. Prior to this great stride it was affiliated to the Studies and Research Center.  The (IC) soon ushered on a massive strategic plan with the objective of  developing an inviting (IT) climate that help realize the University mission and upgrade the quality of it academic services. As such the university will be able enough to cope up with the unprecedented and accelerating developments in the (IT) field on the one hand and create the channels connecting the it to the Arab and global (IT) community. At present the (IC) provides NAUSS Colleges and Centers with (IT) services in the following areas: Applied systems services; maintenance, training, e-communication and statistical processes.
Apart from the support  it renders to academics in NAUSS through the string of laboratories in all university units, the (IC) is involved in the automation of administrative activities.
All in all, we have the ambition to electronize every administrative or academic activity in the University.
